      Whilst his two brothers have chosen academic careers, Olivier is a true action man! At the age of 18, he joined the French army. He stayed in the army for four years, learning Karate for recreation. The majority of his time, however, was spent in active duty as part of an elite force in Senegral (somewhere in Africa, explains the tan I guess). After finnishing service in the army, he extended his knowlege and passion for martial dicipline by training for kick-boxing. He trained for three years, living mostly in the Alps (he's a great skier, another major hobby). The kick boxing became much more than a hobby,and after almost three years of constant hard training andfighting, he excelled to become 

 the French Kick-boxing Champion, a title he defended twice before advancing all the way to the top by achieving the title of World Kickbox Champion 1987. A year after being at the very top of his vocation he retired from the professional kick-boxing scene (permanently?).

   Now his life took a new direction, still to be a famous name, (one you can you can even find in encyclopedias), but now in the world of film. This of course, didn't happen by accident. Being a famous name in French sport he was able to get work in some TV spots and advertisments, as well as working as a male model. Olivier went to Cannes (on the mediteranean 16 miles (25 K) south west of Nice, for anyone who hasn't been there) for a job in the film festival. Here he got himself a big break in the film world by putting up some posters of himself. The right people saw these posters (if anyone has an actual poster or a photo please send me a scan or photocopy :-) and just a few days later, he was asked to go to LA to test shoot for "Angel Town", which became his first film, it's a fast paced martial arts action film. In fact quite the majority of the films that follow are martial art action movies. I wonder if he will run for President next!
